Concrete is an extremely versatile material that combines the characteristics of natural stone with the ability to be cast into any shape. Using what they like to call ‘old school’ concrete, Kast basins are cast with a unique mix of natural aggregates, sand and cement. No glass fibres. The result is real, solid concrete with organic, stone-like characteristics.
The organic variations in colour and surface texture that can occur as a result of using real concrete and aggregates creates a distinctive aesthetic that is integral to the character of the material. These idiosyncrasies are considered part of the aesthetic appeal of concrete and are what makes each Kast basin unique. If you are looking for a basin or vanity with a 100% consistent finish then concrete is likely not the best product for you. Please consider our Corian vanity tops instead.
